AMG Super are implementing multi-factor authentication for online adviser access.
The ATO recently released an operational framework for Digital Service Providers (DSP) aimed to strengthen the security of the digital taxation and superannuation ecosystem.
Under this framework, Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for end users that can access taxation or superannuation related information of other entities or individuals (for example, financial advisers, administrators, employers etc). Click here to view the Australian Government Information Security Manual.
To comply with these regulations, AMG will be updating our online Adviser access portal to include a two-factor authentication method prior to the end of December 2019. Operationally, this will mean that each time you log into your Adviser Online portal, you will receive a code via your preferred method (text or email) that you will be required to enter as part of your login.
To mitigate foreseeable issues where email or mobile phone numbers may be out of date, we ask that you take the time over the next few weeks to ensure the email and mobile phone numbers online are correct. You can do this by logging in to your adviser portal, selecting the ‘Adviser Details’ page click the ‘Edit’ button at the bottom of the page.
If you have any issues with this process, please contact your BDM, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We realise that this will take some getting used to and will be sure to help in any way we can.
Please note that there will be no change to the way members log in to their AMG Online portal.
